Crazy Night!

Well I know it's been awhile since we've posted anything. We were waiting to take some good pictures of our apartment and post them for you, but unfortunately I kind of broke Mitch's camera and we couldn't find mine for a while.

Anyways - I thought I'd give a quick update:

Things are going well:
-We are settled into our apartment in Evanston
-Work is going well for me (Alice), working for Nestle in the frozen pizza pizza division (DiGiorno, Tombstone, Jack's, & California Pizza Kitchen!) doing Research & Development
-Mitch is still diligently job hunting, sending out ~30+ applications a day, having interviews, etc. So that's pretty frustrating because there are jobs out there but he hasn't landed one yet :/

But actually last night we had some drama, we decided to go out to dinner because our Bible Study was canceled. We drove about 45 minutes away because we got lost on the way there....but we got there, had a great dinner, and left around 9pm. On our way home we were stopped at a Red Light, then got SLAMMED & REAR-ENDED BY A DRUNK DRIVER!!!

Man oh man, it was crazy, and thankfully EVERYONE is ALRIGHT! Mitch has a sore neck and we're a little shaken up but we should be ok. The guy was totally drunk and got arrested on the spot. He told the cop "traffic was going slower than I thought when I got up to the intersection" lol -- and by slow he really meant STOPPED because we had been stopped for awhile!!!! Jeesh! But the scene told it all, his airbags went off, our car was rear-ended, and he was completely drunk - oh did I mention his pants were un-done when he got out of his 1994 Ford Windstar Minivan, yeah they were - sick.

So he got arrested, we were able to drive home - very slowly, and we got the police officer's awesome trading card - he ran out of business cards. It was a crazy night, thankfully we're all ok.
